DESCRIPTION
The contract scope includes realiszation of initial inspections and load testing of bridges and structures prior to the entry into service and structures auscultation and control.
Nearly all the viaducts of high-speed rail ie. Madrid – Galicia, section Silleda (Carboeiro) and– Santiago de Compostela are very high. The piers average height average is 70 m, sometimes exceeding 100 m. To carry out the load testing, OFITECO implemented an innovative measurement system, so that the deflections could be measured in the interior of the viaducts. The system allows continuous register of static and dynamic tests. The works were executed at the appropriate time for implementation of railway traffic between Ourense and Santiago de Compostela.
