OFITECO starts the works in order to implement Emergency Plans according to the requirements of the Ministry of Environment’s Technical Guide for the development of Emergency Plans in Dams, after entering yesterday into a contract with the Ebro’s River Basin Authority.
OFITECO continues its work in the field of dam’s safety since being awarded, under joint venture, the implementation of the Emergency plans in Pajares and González – Lacasa dams, which are competence of the Ebro’s River Basin Authority.
Works include the emergency room’s equipment, communication systems optimisation, and the installation of systems to alert population and civil works and the auxiliary installations needed to the whole set servicing.
Lumbreras, Ortigosa de Camenos, Villanueva en Cameros, Pradillo y Torrecilla de Cameros will be the municipalities which will benefit from this action in the first instance, due to their situation in the influence area of the Lumbreras and Albercos rivers’ infrastructures.
With this contract, OFITECO further consolidates as a leading company in the development and implementation of Emergency Action Plans. OFITECO has successfully developed similar works in other dams managed by the Ebro River Basin Authority, such as Alloz and Eugui.
